Monday Monday Monday
Damn my insomnia. Anyway, I just saw the Australian version to the music video of "Monday Monday Monday" by Tegan and Sara. I actually enjoyed this version to the North American one. While the North American looked nice with the concept thing with monkeys and the animation, I enjoyed the Australian version more. But, then again, I'm a sucker for a good music video that mixes performance along with behind the scenes tour footage. I felt this actually allowed the audience to witness the personalities of Tegan and Sara, an aspect that contributes to their loyal following. Man, they're talented, cute, and funny. Good lord I'm geeking out once again. But, damnit they are the T&S Express, and their last show at The Pit was awesome.
I was surprised that the place was that full. It wasn't even Pit Pub night that night. thank goodness. I believe the last time I went there for Pit Pub Night was last year and I was drinking with Zoe and Kent. We just sat at a table, got drunk, and laughed at all the "Chachi's" try to pick-up all the underage girls by giving them copious amounts of alcohol. It was also funny because I was able to get Zoe to revert back to her Aussie accent. To think she's from the same town as Heath Ledger. Then she started waving her knife around and all hell broke loose. Sure the thing looked more like a miniature shiv as opposed to a Swiss army-style knife, but still, drunk people + potentially dangerous weapons = bad results. For instance, me + consumption of amounts of alcohol + a knife = me doing my rendition of Bishop's knife scene in the mess hall from "Aliens". I believe I did that that night and at some point during the HSA & LCF BZZR Garden. Another example would be my friend Dan at a Halloween party last year. He dressed as a ninja and brandished an actual Japanese sword. Everyone at the party told him to put that sword away since he was getting too rowdy in his drunken state.
How the hell did I digress to this? Tegan and Sara to Pit Pub to drinking to Aussies to knives to swords? Weird.
I guess I have to make up for my lack of web and formatting skills with entries such as this.
Anyways, season's greetings to everyone and good luck on your exams if applicable.
Later Days.
End Transmission.
