Caffeine, Nicotine, Sleep Deprivation, and Sugar. Fuel for 48 hours.

Karl's Blog. Stardate Blah Blah Blah,

I just got home after seeing the final cut for the gong show that was my first experience as part of a 48 Hour Film Fest crew. This was actually better than what I expected. Considering I woke up at 3am on Sunday to everyone that was present in a worried fervor about the rough cut. By that time I could finally feel my body breaking down on me. It complimented the fact I've turned off my brain long before, and relied upon deeply delayed reaction responses.

Three days, more or less, spent within the confines of government office floor. From this climate of number crunching portfolios regarding BC utilities, we were able convert the domain of the "MAN" into a fully functioning indie office, studio, and production house.

We at times wanted to kill, hurt, and fire each other. Bitching and moaning. Grinning and bearing it. But was it worth it? Around the 4am mark this Sunday, it was veering off towards the "no" zone. However, 2 people were able to salvage this project from everyone walking away in disgust. Bill and Todd. This truly was "Bill and Todd's 'Expended' Experience" at this point. The Audio Man & the Editor. Their creative use of sound and cutting, along with some rewriting by "The Altar Boys" (Justin & Chris: the directors and screenwriters) helped save what could have been a nightmare. I hope that they can see that it turned out alright after a few days or more away from this thing.

I'm fried. They're fried. Everyone was all fried.

I'll give an unedited bitchfest "here" for all my special readers. The link won't be functional for a while. But if you are privy to this post then good on ya. Not that anyone will read it.

Once I find out when the 48 Hour Film Fest will show our short "Expended" I'll let you all know. Not that anyone will watch it. But hey you never know. Plus it turned out good.

Now the adrenaline has died down. Sure I'm finally clean and had some rest. But I need to seal myself away into my Lazarus Pit.

Sorry about missing the "JC&SC Experience" house party. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Maybe Jen posted my horrible haiku and poxy poetry about missing the event for all to see. Since, that was my penalty. Atleast I thought the email invite inferred it.

Welcome back to Canada Ruth. I would've went to your friend's welcome back BBQ for you, but, as you can see I was tied up. Plus I do not know where your friend resides.

Guys in soccer? Leave me alone until practice of Wednesday. Thank you Dom for understanding my incomprehensible grunting when ya woke me up from my first proper sleep in days.

On that note, fuck you and die . . . err . . . goodnight and have fun till next time.

Later Days.

End Transmission.
